

catro performs in jazz festivals, community arts festivals, night clubs as well as for corporate and private events. Catro’s musicians have also been featured at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. and have gained international exposure performing in South Africa, France, Italy, Sweden, and Norway.
catro performs with a minimum of (4) or as many as (8) musicians; customizing the band to meet the needs of each particular venue.

Mark DeWalt ~ Piano/keyboards and leader of Catro for over 20 years.
Mark has performed both regionally and internationally. He works as a soloist as well as with vocalists and jazz combos. His playing has been featured on several C.D. projects and he recently completed the music for an all-original album of Catro. He is also active in the Erie jazz scene backing up vocalist Lydia Marks.
Tammi is one of Western Pennsylvania’s most popular vocalists. She sings with Catro, does solo performances and leads “Dreamscape”, an eight-piece variety band. She has been singing professionally for over sixteen years with appearances throughout the Mid-Atlantic as well as dates on the west coast. Her vocal style with Catro is unique, personal, and reflects the influences of jazz legends Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, as well as contemporary styles.
Terry teaches saxophone, clarinet, and jazz studies at Slippery Rock University. He performs as a freelance musician with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Civic Light Opera Orchestra, and the Pittsburgh Ballet Orchestra. He is regularly called to perform with pop and jazz legend Ray Charles and numerous nationally known acts.
Clayton’s professional career began at age 15 performing in South Africa with world beat band “Bollo-Mah-Kissy”, and has since expanded steadily. He graduated from Slippery Rock University in December of 2005 with a B.S. in Music Education and a B.A. in Music Performance. As a student he played lead trombone in Slippery Rock's jazz ensemble, and principal trombone in both the symphonic wind ensemble, and symphony orchestra. He is currently a freelance performer and teacher. Clayton has performed internationally in South Africa and Europe and also performs and records with many Pittsburgh based bands. He was recently selected to play lead trombone in the All American College Band at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim California.
Dave graduated from Youngstown State University, and has a M.S. in Education. He is an educator working in the Ohio public schools, at the university level, and is a staff clinician and instructor for Jamey Aebersold jazz camps. He has performed as principal tenor sax with the Benny Goodman Orchestra and is a member of numerous local groups in the Youngstown, Warren, and Cleveland areas.
Brown has performed extensively both locally and internationally for over 20 years. He is currently a member of the WQED-TV house band for the popular show Live from Studio A and was a key player in the rock group “Gathering Fields”. He has also performed live with jazz legends Herbie Hancock, James Moody, Joe Henderson, and many others.
Pat Crossley ~ Acoustic Bass and Vocals
Pat has been performing professionally for over 30 years. His career history include: touring with popular rock bands in the seventies, steady east coast hotel engagements, recording work in Nashville, and appearances with major jazz artists. Since relocating to western PA, he has become familiar to audiences throughout the tri-state area, performing club dates and concerts with many ensembles including popular Pittsburgh pianist Frank Cunimundo.
Steve gained his formal training while playing with elite bands and ensembles in the U.S. Army. He performs widely throughout the Tri-State area with several bands and has toured both in the states as well as overseas. He also teaches privately and has been recorded on several CD’s.
Carlos Cintron ~ Conga Drums and Percussion
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Carlos brings the authentic rhythms of salsa and Afro-Cuban styles to Catro’s sound. He has performed in Panama and at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C.
